When sun shines full,
let us embrace
This golden day, for love is best begun at noon,
When gilded skies fade crown of moon.
Then on toward dawning, silvered face
For heaven’s rise. In starry light
We’ll dance the twilit dance of love
And sing beneath dark’s canopy above.
When binds fall loose, we’ll soar in flight,
To gentled arms of lingering night.
What do youngsters know of art and beauty?
Only Time, the master sculptor,
fashions couples from raw love.
It takes years
to etch soft creases onto velvet skin;
to weld fine silver onto silky strands;
to carve true wisdom in a winsome heart.
We were lovely then–
caressed by youth, adorned by love.
But now, molded by years of loving,
How beautiful we've become!
